About Us

Since 1996, Oppidan has developed a unique and specialized approach to evaluation and treatment of medically stable, Rancho Los Amigo level IV and above survivors of traumatic brain injury (TBI), neurologic injury, and neuropsychiatric disorders. Our Program has the expertise, resources, and experience essential to accurately diagnose and treat the most complex manifestations of neurologic impairment and dual diagnoses.
Oppidan’s programs focus on the following areas:

  • Individualized Treatment Plans
  • Aggressive physical, occupational, and speech language therapy
  • Staff Secured Neurobehavioral Programming
  • Supported Independent Living
  • On-site case managers, supervisors, and nursing staff
  • Meaningful vocational and recreational skill development
All concerned parties work together to establish measurable goals and objectives for each admission. Client services are delivered through a cohesive Case Management system designed to keep all concerned parties aware of clinical, medical, and behavioral progress through detailed reports, conference calls, and meetings.

Mission Statement

Oppidan has as its mission a dedication to providing the highest quality of services and treatment to the survivors of brain injury. Through the provision of individualized assessments, behavioral interventions, psychosocial, cognitive, speech and physical therapies, and vocational and educational services, Oppidan seeks to assist its clients to obtain their maximum level of functioning and quality of life in the most normalized and least restrictive environment.

Oppidan is also dedicated to promoting public awareness of the needs of brain injury survivors and their families and educating professionals in the field of medical rehabilitation through education and training.
